Roy Keane not convinced by what Ian Wright said about Everton game v Crystal Palace

Everton are preparing for an away trip to face Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Saturday.

The game takes place just three days after the Toffees secured a memorable point against Liverpool thanks to a late James Tarkowski equaliser in a dramatic 2-2 draw.

The aftermath of this Merseyside Derby strike could hamper the L4 club on their travels this week after Abdoulaye Doucoure was sent off by Michael Oliver.

Looking ahead to the clash against the Eagles, Roy Keane and Ian Wright have clashed while giving their predictions.

Roy Keane and Ian Wright make Everton v Crystal Palace prediction

Since David Moyes returned to Merseyside, the Evertonians have been on an upward trajectory which has seen his side lose just one game.

The result was certainly positive against Liverpool regardless of the moments after the full-time whistle at Goodison as tensions boiled over.

It will certainly be interesting to see how the Toffees can recover and return to action so soon after this draw with a trip to the capital.

Keane and Wright, doing their predictions on the Stick to Football podcast (13 February), were speaking prior to the derby but still couldn’t quite agree on their stance.

Former Arsenal forward Wright said: “2-2? What you think Roy?”

Keane wasn’t so sure by that opinion as he said: “Yeah go on, you’re a palace man. I’m not convinced, I think someone is winning that.”

Everton will hope to impress again v Crystal Palace

There will have been plenty of energy spent on the performance against Arne Slot’s side on Wednesday (12 February).

This will mean that plenty of recovery work will have to be done to have a side ready to perform at a top level against Palace at the weekend.

If Moyes and Co. are to secure any points away against the Eagles, the performance and goalscoring ability of Beto is going to be under the microscope.

The 27-year-old has scored three in his last three and will be keen to make that four as his reinvigoration continues under the Scottish head coach.

This will have taken a blow after Iliman Ndiaye went off injured against Liverpool which is certainly cause for concern at Goodison.

Everyone associated with the blue side of Merseyside will be keen to get him back as soon as possible to help secure positive results moving forward.
