Everton final Premier League position predicted by supercomputer after Liverpool draw
Everton have had their final Premier League position predicted by a supercomputer following their 2-2 draw at home to Liverpool.
Everton secured a point in an enthralling encounter with Liverpool last time out, extending their unbeaten league run to four.
The primary goal for the Toffees this season is to avoid relegation from the Premier League, and as things stand, they are on course to do just that.
Ten points separate David Moyes’ side from the bottom three and while the season is far from over, Everton are in a great position to achieve their short-term goal if the latest supercomputer predictions are anything to go by.
Supercomputer predicts Premier League table
According to the latest predictions made by Opta Analyst (13 February), Everton are predicted to finish 16th in the Premier League.
The Toffees are expected to finish the season with 42 points, 14 points above the drop zone, which is occupied by Southampton, Leicester and Ipswich, all three of whom were only recently promoted back to England’s top flight.
With a 0.67 per cent chance of relegation, any fears over playing in the Championship are all but curtailed, but with many games still to be played, Everton need to keep at it the way they are.
If Everton can maintain their current form, those fears can be wiped away sooner rather than later as an away encounter at Crystal Palace beckons.

Everton surely set for Premier League safety
Year after year, Everton are involved in a relegation fight and the hope will be that upon the conclusion of the current campaign, that can change.
However, for that to happen, significant investment is needed and Everton cannot afford to make any more recruitment errors.
The foundations are certainly in place for a revival of the Toffees but that will only be achieved if the right decisions are made by those in authority, something which just hasn’t been the case for several years at Goodison Park.
A fresh start at Bramley-Moore Dock could be a new beginning for the Toffees, with a chance to get back to competing at the right end of the Premier League table.
