David Moyes set to win cash prize for Sean Dyche after TFG-Everton agreement

Sean Dyche is set to receive a huge favour from David Moyes following the revelation of a contractual agreement at Everton.

Dyche left Goodison Park shortly after the turn of the year and has been replaced by returning manager Moyes, who has rapidly steered the Toffees away from any relegation threat before the move to Bramley-Moore Dock.

Former Burnley boss Dyche – who avoided relegation twice while dealing with financial constraints and points deductions but struggled to get a tune from his team later in his reign – was out of contract at the end of this season in any case.

Moyes set to win Dyche a prize from Friedkins

Moyes is set to win Dyche a financial reward from avoiding relegation should Everton achieve the feat as expected, according to The Times.

Paul Joyce’s report (18 February) has stated that The Friedkin Group (TFG) have withheld part of a payment due to Dyche should Everton avoid relegation this season, this of course being agreed without the view to the 53-year-old leaving midway through the season.

With Moyes almost certain to pick up where Dyche left off and turn the team’s form around, pushing now towards mid-table, the former boss is anticipated to see the rest of his promised payment released.

Fans in blue have enjoyed what they have seen of late, with a run of four wins from their last five Premier League games garnering praise and now a countdown to the stadium move approaching its home straight.

Dyche was not the only Toffees figure approaching the end of his contract before he departed Goodison, but Kevin Thelwell is also into the final few months of his own deal as pressure builds to come to a positive resolution.

Everton agreed long-haul journey with Moyes

Moyes is clearly in the mood to give his return to Everton a good go like last time out, having insisted he did not just want to return for a short-term fix before the stadium move.

The relationship between the Scotsman and the Toffees is an unbreakable bond, it seems, and an emotional rollercoaster resumes after his initial departure in 2013.

Moyes will feel even more strongly about his desire to move the Blues closer on their journey to historical glories after the response his players have given him since his arrival.

Everton will be a Premier League club next season for sure, despite a difficult set of fixtures which remain although they will feel very confident they can overcome the side their manager first left Goodison to join, Manchester United, this Saturday (22 February).
