‘Beto to transform career’ at Bramley-Moore Dock after latest Everton admission
Beto has had a Jekyll and Hyde type of season at Everton, from which supporters are now beginning to see the rewards.
The Guinea-Bissau striker has now been thrust into the spotlight as the main man at Goodison Park, leading the line under David Moyes who has overseen the season turning from a nightmare into an entertainment factor.
Beto, 26, has made an admission this week on his career which could have made things so different both for he and the Toffees, who are undergoing a massive transition period and have been for some time.

Beto nearly left Everton last month
Beto has confessed he was close to leaving Everton in the January transfer window, with a host of interest arriving from Italy, where he left to try his hand in the Premier League.
The former Udinese frontman was especially wanted by Torino, while Spanish outfit Real Betis came calling soon before the deadline in an attempt to prise him to La Liga.
The Toffees would have been in a very difficult situation had Beto left, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Armando Broja’s injuries plaguing Moyes’ options. Calvert-Lewin could also leave Everton for nothing in the summer, with seemingly very little progress on a new contract.
Since Moyes’ arrival, Beto has looked a man possessed, and certainly with a point to prove. The closure of the transfer window over a fortnight ago has marginalised Beto’s focus – he now knows how much Everton appreciate him, and he is looking to reciprocate it.
At an exciting time when so much has changed and continues to change on the blue half of Merseyside, the spearhead of Moyes’ new-found attack could transform a Premier League career which had looked destined to peter out into zilch.

Toffees man going from dud to destructor
Around Christmas time, as Sean Dyche’s reign was coming to an end, Beto was a failure at Goodison. A year on, and he could be the first hero of Bramley-Moore Dock.
It is frankly incredible how a different environment can just totally unlock an ability and a new set of levels from a player who indicated nothing previously to show they existed.
Beto has four goals in as many games, and five in seven played since Dyche’s departure. We always discuss a blank canvas for players when a managerial change occurs, and it could not be more true of the former Benfica academy product.
He is not the only one. Jake O’Brien is another Everton player who has garnered immense praise in recent weeks, his dominant performances in a newly-carved out role of right-back going some way to securing victories and clean sheets. He was completely cast aside under Dyche, despite having arrived under his stewardship in the summer.
Everton have an entirely different outlook to that of a few months ago, and that positivity is clearly rubbing off on the squad. Moyes is reminding them the key elements required to pull on the Toffees shirt and perform for the fans, and you can tell a mile off the players who are responding well.
