Richard Keys sends late plea to fans attending Everton v Manchester United fixture

Richard Keys has sent out a late plea to Everton fans attending Saturday’s Premier League game with Manchester United.

Everton host Man United at Goodison Park in the early kickoff on 22 February, aiming to maintain their superb form under David Moyes.

Moyes’ work since replacing Sean Dyche has not gone unheralded, and he will be aiming to add three more points to the board today against out-of-form United.

And there will be a number of special guests in attendance at Goodison Park for the match on what will be an emotional occasion.

Andy Gray to be in attendance for Everton v Manchester United

As confirmed by the club earlier this week, Everton legends Andy Gray, Derek Mountfield, Kevin Sheedy and Paul Bracewell are all going to be inducted as ‘Everton Giants’ at half-time against Man United.

Each of those aforementioned names will have special plaques outside Everton’s impressive new home at Bramley-Moore Dock, which is on course to officially open at full capacity in a few months’ time.

And ahead of Gray’s appearance at the game, beIN SPORTS co-host and close friend Keys posted a message on his personal X account.

“If you’re going to Goodison today keep an eye out for Andy,” Keys wrote. “He’s been inaugurated into the Everton Hall of Fame. It’s a long overdue and well deserved.”

Keys went on to joke that he will “get on without” Gray, who is usually front and centre of beIN’s Premier League coverage on a Saturday.

Everton fans can make it a special occasion v Manchester United

Everton head into the contest with Man United as favourites in what is a rarity, which is thanks to the superb work of Moyes and the, let’s face it, poor work of opposite number Ruben Amorim.

A relegation battle is still not entirely out of the question, although it is looking increasingly unlikely as the weeks go on.

Three more points against United on Saturday, which has to be the aim, and Everton will instead be looking more towards a top-half finish.

Supporters can make it a special atmosphere at Goodison, with this the last ever meeting to be staged there with Manchester United.
