Brentford v Everton: Sky Sports pundit stunned by ‘Incredible’ Beto incident
Everton managed to secure a 1-1 draw against Brentford at the G-Tech Community Stadium on Wednesday night.
Yoane Wissa found the back of the net for the visitors as they went into the break with a 1-0 lead.
It was arguably against the run of play with the Blues having some good chances in the first half but they scored in the second period courtesy of Jake O’Brien’s header.

Beto with an ‘Incredible’ miss in the first half of Brentford v Everton
In the first half, Beto had a huge chance to find the back of the net, after Brentford made a mess at the back.
He stole the ball from Ethan Pinnock, who may even have been sent off for the incident, and went clean through on goal.
However, he made a hash of the chance and hit it straight into the goalkeeper, much to the annoyance of everyone associated with Everton.
Reacting to the incident on Premier League’s world feed, Courtney Sweetman-Kirk, a Sky Sports pundit, said at 8:12pm: “Incredible. David Moyes can’t believe it. Beto can’t believe it. Neither can I. He’s been in such great form.”

Toffees arguably the better side at the G-Tech Community Stadium
The Toffees may feel hard done by at the full-time whistle as they did have some good chances to win the game.
Beto, who went into the game with five goals in his last four league games, surely would’ve been expected to do better.

Missing two big chances and another half chance when you’re in that kind of form is unacceptable and the Guinea-Bissau international would admit that he’s had a less than ideal game.
On expected goals, the two teams were even but it’s clear that Mark Flekken was the busier of the two goalkeepers on the night.
Moyes will focus on the positives that it was yet another impressive performance and an important point away from home.
Both their last two games will feel like four points dropped but at the start of the season, they probably would’ve taken draws from each of them.
