David Moyes has easy Idrissa Gueye decision to make at Everton after contract news
Everton have seen a massive upturn in form since the return of David Moyes to Goodison Park, with Idrissa Gueye sparking back to life.
Although relegation looked like a real threat previously, the Toffees now sit 16th in the Premier League, 15 points above the relegation zone.
The return of Moyes has not only seen an improvement in results but also the performances of several players who look rejuvenated.

Moyes to secure Gueye on new contract at Everton
With the summer transfer window soon upon us, there will be plenty of conversations going on at Goodison about the direction that the Blues want to take next term.
With new owners now in place, it certainly seems as though the light at the end of the tunnel has been reached and the summer looks more positive.
Kevin Thelwell has warned supporters that business will have to be measured while also looking to improve the side, which means decisions on current players’ futures could be as vital as new signings.
One man who is out of contract at the end of the current campaign is Gueye and it is said the Toffees are now keen to secure the 35-year-old on a new deal.
Despite his age, this could prove to be great business as the Toffees look to transition their squad.

Moyes needs to keep Everton pushing up the table
Although Gueye may not be a signing for the long-term future at Everton, securing his services for an extra year could be worth it after what he has contributed this season.
Under both Sean Dyche and Moyes, the 35-year-old has played a regular role in the team and he has spoken out about his enjoyment of playing under the new boss at Goodison.
As a more senior player, having that level of experience to help try and gel a squad that could include some new faces next season could be invaluable to Moyes.
Season | Apperances | Goals |
2024/25 (so far) | 26 | 0 |
2023/24 | 25 | 4 |
2022/23 | 33 | 0 |
There is no doubt that his minutes can be managed with some of the more youthful players at the club, but with the option there, this will surely give Moyes someone to have faith in that he already trusts.
There are plenty of decisions to be made as the Toffees prepare for a move to Bramley-Moor Dock but this should be a fairly straightforward one that can make the summer look slightly easier.
