Wolves v Everton injury news: Dominic Calvert-Lewin update emerges
Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin appears to be some way away from returning to full fitness post his thigh injury, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that for him to return against Wolves on 8 March, he will already need to have returned to training.
The 27-year-old last played for the Toffees on 25 January when they beat Brighton 1-0.

David Moyes unlikely to have Dominic Calvert-Lewin in the Everton playing XI against Wolves
David Moyes will be hoping to continue the good form against Wolves at Molineux this weekend.
However, he’s unlikely to have Calvert-Lewin available to start and the best-case scenario would be him on the bench.
Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, Dr Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said about Calvert-Lewin: “For him to be back at the weekend, he will need to have returned to training already.
“Considering he will have missed roughly six weeks or so with a thigh injury, he will need at least a few bounce matches and then consistent 90’s to get near 100 per cent fitness.
“I do not see him starting at the weekend even if he does pass a late fitness test.“
Thus far, there have been no indicators from the club that the England international is back in full training so his participation remains a doubt, as things stand.

Goodison Park exit on the cards for Dominic Calvert-Lewin?
Everton and Calvert-Lewin parting ways in the summer of 2025 could benefit the club.
With his contract expiring, the England international could leave as a free agent, offering the club no financial return but they’ll get his wages off the payroll and can plan for the long term.

Recent seasons have also been plagued by injuries as pointed out by Dr Brar, reducing his reliability despite his aerial prowess and key moments, like the 2022 relegation-saving goal against Crystal Palace.
With Beto emerging as a viable alternative and the club eyeing a fresh start at Bramley-Moore Dock, a strategic shift could bolster Everton’s long-term prospects.
