Everton ready Chris Rigg transfer as Sky Sports share new update

Everton are poised for a busy summer transfer window with at least 10 players tipped to leave at the end of the season.

David Moyes is set to oversee a squad overhaul at Everton this summer, with 13 players running out of their contracts and the departures expected to hit double figures.

Abdoulaye Doucoure is headed towards the exit door after the Goodison Park outfit decided against triggering a one-year extension in his contract, while Idrissa Gueye’s deal also runs out this summer.

As Orel Mangala and Carlos Alcaraz are with the Toffees on loan, the midfield is expected to be an area that needs addressing ahead of next season.

Rigg is said to fit the profile of what the Merseyside-based club are looking for, while Moyes already has a reputation for roping in players from the Championship from his first spell with the Toffees.

It is worth noting that Everton are not the only club interested in Rigg, as West Ham United have also kept tabs on him this season.

Other Premier League and Bundesliga clubs are monitoring the England Under-19s international’s development as well.

This comes amid news that Everton are prowling around ‘players that would surprise you’.
