Liverpool ‘to add new premium’ as Everton ready Ben Doak transfer – Exclusive

Everton already have one eye on a huge summer transfer window under the Friedkins.

David Moyes has all but guaranteed another season of Premier League football with ease, as the Toffees prepare to move to Bramley-Moore Dock under their new American owners.

With that comes the desperate need to avoid yet another relegation battle, with new transfer targets consistently emerging ahead of the window.

Everton ready to sign Ben Doak

One of the most interesting, if not the biggest, names to emerge is Liverpool wonder, Ben Doak.

Dan Plumley has insisted that it would be a difficult move for the young Scotland star to switch Anfield for Bramley-Moore Dock.

The football finance expert admitted that an already complex deal could see an added premium on the price if Everton wanted to raid their biggest rivals.

“It’s plausible,” Plumley exclusively told Goodison News.

“We know how transfers work, we know negotiations are hard, and people drive a hard bargain if you’re looking for an inter-city swap, that adds another layer to it.

They are in different league positions, if we’re being brutally honest, so Liverpool may not see that as a threat to them right now in terms of one player, but they may squeeze the margin as well.

It’s a tricky one for the player as well, moving between clubs in a city is difficult, so it does add another layer of complexity to it, and could increase the price a little bit.”

Moyes ready for transfer splurge

A clear trend is already emerging ahead of the window.

Everton and Moyes are being linked with some of the biggest, up and coming, talents in British football, with Doak joining Sunderland star Chris Rigg on the shortlist.

After years of signing more experienced names, a new era could be set to begin, with the likes of Abdoulaye Doucoure currently set to leave when the season ends.

Doak is an interesting name to watch closely, but the big question remains: Will Liverpool play ball?

It may take an added premium for the Friedkins.
