Ally McCoist stunned as Jeff Stelling quizzes on Everton live on talkSPORT
Everton carried on with their impressive form under David Moyes, beating Nottingham Forest 1-0 on Saturday afternoon.
It may have taken Abdoulaye Doucoure until the 94th minute to score the only goal of the game, but the Toffees were well deserving of victory at the City Ground.
The result has pushed Everton up the Premier League table and into 13th place, above the likes of Manchester United and Tottenham.

Ally McCoist praises Moyes
When Moyes was initially brought back to Merseyside, Everton were sitting just one point clear of the relegation zone with a drop to the Championship a very real possibility.
However, the Scotsman has revitalised the side ahead and quickly pulled the Toffees away from any danger of relegation.
Not only is Moyes at the helm, but ahead of the move to Bramley-Moore Dock, the Friedkin Group are preparing for their first full summer window in charge, which is likely to make more resources available.
Speaking on the talkSPORT Breakfast Show (14 April, 9:22 am), Jeff Stelling questioned Ally McCoist about whether the Blues could have the ambition to achieve what Forest have.
McCoist replied: “And quite right. I don’t know the exact figures, what is it, one defeat in 10 or something, Jeff? By the way, just to throw the cat amongst the pigeons again, that goal shouldn’t have counted in the Merseyside Derby, I think it was one that was offside.
“They’ve been brilliant, absolutely brilliant. The pressure going there was obviously all on David and Everton staying in the division, clearly at that point, because we’ve stated the obvious, how important that was to start the new season in the new stadium.
“But boy, the turnaround and the way they’ve picked up results, sitting 13th now above Manchester United and above Tottenham, teams like that. Yeah, fabulous job.”
Moyes to progress with Everton
While there was confidence that Moyes was going to be the man to turn things around at Goodison Park, the rate at which he has done that has been staggering.
Played | Won | Drawn | Lost |

Supporters will be wondering what the season could have produced if the Scotsman had been at the helm for the entire campaign, especially during a year that has seen underdogs push up the table.
After a bleak few years on Merseyside, it seems as though better times are definitely ahead for the Toffees as they prepare to kickstart a new era in the summer.
The boss won’t be keen to make any clear comparisons, but when you consider how much of a transformation Forest have undertaken this term, there is no reason Moyes can’t do the same with the Blues.
That being said, progress is the main thing and as long as Everton look competitive and are away from any signs of trouble that will be a sign of moving forward.
