David Moyes ‘to hold talks with TFG’ after Everton transfer admission
David Moyes is expected to sit down with the Friedkin Group ahead of the summer after what the Everton boss said recently.
Moyes has turned things around at Everton since his return to Goodison Park.
The Toffees secured one of their biggest wins of the season on Saturday (12 April) as they beat third-placed Nottingham Forest 1-0 at the City Ground.
It demonstrates what an incredible job Moyes has done, and the 61-year-old touched on Forest’s success this season and his own ambitions after the victory in the East Midlands.

Moyes makes transfer admission at Everton
After the win against Nottingham Forest, Kris Boyd suggested that Moyes will be putting pressure on the Friedkin Group to get some players through the door ahead of the move to Bramley-Moore Dock.
Moyes spoke about this himself after securing three points at the City Ground.
Premier League 2024/25 | Position | Points |
Crystal Palace | 12th | 43 |
Everton | 13th | 38 |
Manchester United | 14th | 38 |
Speaking on Match of the Day (13 April, 10:46 pm), the Scottish tactician said, “We want to attract good players to the club in the future, we want them to realise that they are coming to a club that is ambitious.
“I’d love to have a season like Nottingham Forest are having this year next year if that is possible.”
Therefore, ex-Goodison scout Bryan King – speaking exclusively to Goodison News – believes conversations will be held between Moyes and the Friedkin Group in the coming weeks.
“Moyes doesn’t want to be fighting relegation again,” King said.
“Of course, he will hold talks with the Friedkin Group. He wants Everton to be in the positions they were in when he was manager of the club the first time around.
“They used to consistently finish in the top half of the Premier League, they got to cup finals and semi-finals, and they played in Europe. That is what Moyes wants to bring back to Everton. He wants to do that for the supporters because the supporters have been wonderful.
“They have continued to show up for Everton despite the struggles. Moyes can attract big names without a doubt. Everton need to start winning things and challenging for Europe, and they can only do that by improving their squad. It is going to be a busy summer.”

Moyes deserves to be backed at Everton
In a very short amount of time, Moyes has demonstrated just how much change he can influence at Everton. As a result, he deserves to be backed by the Friedkin Group.
It is going to be a big summer on Merseyside, with the Toffees moving from Goodison to Bramley-Moore Dock. Therefore, this is the perfect opportunity for Everton to push forward and put a miserable few years behind them.
