Jamie Carragher makes Everton ‘bang’ claim ahead of Manchester City showdown

Jamie Carragher has high expectations of the Premier League game between Everton and Manchester City on Saturday.

Everton will look to build on their win against Nottingham Forest when they host the reigning Premier League champions at Goodison Park on 19 April.

Manchester City appear to have hit a stride, having remained unbeaten in their last five games, but David Moyes and Co. will be positive about their chances of taking points off the visitors.

The Toffees are yet to lose at home in the league since Moyes returned as their manager in January, and will hope to extend that streak to seven games on Saturday.

Carragher makes Everton v Manchester City prediction

The game between Everton and Manchester City is guaranteed to be captivating, considering both teams’ fortunes this season.

Carragher expects nothing less, although he has backed the Merseyside-based club to make life ‘tough’ for the Cityzens.

The Sky Sports pundit explained that the Toffees are determined to end their spell at Goodison Park on a high and predicted a 1-1 draw on Saturday.

“City will find it tough at Goodison as Everton are determined to go out with a bang in their last few home games”, Carragher wrote in his prediction for Sky Sports’ Super6.

Moyes sets sights on win over Guardiola

This will be the last time Everton face Manchester City at Goodison Park, as they are set to move to their new Bramley-Moore Dock stadium next season.

Therefore, there is no doubt that the Toffees will have set their sights on claiming all three points over Guardiola and Co. and give their fans another memorable afternoon in L4.

City will be without Ederson and Erling Haaland, among others, on Saturday, making things that much easier for the hosts.

The ball is thus in Everton’s court to make life difficult for the reigning champions and take as many points as possible off them.
