Tomas Soucek transfer: David Moyes talks set as serious Everton plan ready

David Moyes could potentially reunite with Tomas Soucek at Everton after spending time with the midfielder at West Ham United.

The Scottish manager spent around five seasons at the Hammers before leaving last summer, and the Czechia international was a pivotal part of his plans.

Moyes’ return to Goodison Park has been well received, as the Toffees have made significant progress under him.

The 61-year-old has shown his prowess at the Blues, beating Nottingham Forest 1-0 at the City Ground in the most recent fixture, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see The Friedkin Group (TFG) give the Scotsman what he wants next summer.

It’s been claimed that the Irons are thinking about selling the Czech star next summer after he’s fallen down the pecking order under Graham Potter.

With the Hammers prepared to listen to offers for the former Slavia Prague ace, the Merseyside outfit are seriously considering making a bid for him.

TFG must buy new midfielders at Bramley-Moore Dock

Abdoulaye Docoure looks set to depart Goodison Park as a free agent in the coming months, with his contract expiring soon.

Moyes may also be without Idrissa Gueye at the start of next season, as the former Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) midfielder’s deal is also set to end soon.

There are other key squad members, such as Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Michael Keane, nearing the end of their time at the Blues, presenting TFG with some important decisions to make in the transfer window.

Everton will undoubtedly need to bolster their squad soon if they lose some of their essential players next summer, but who the Americans will buy remains to be seen.

Soucek seems like a decent shout for the Merseyside outfit as he’s previously worked under the Scottish manager who knows what to expect from him.

The Czechia international might not be the most technically gifted, but his presence and leadership on the pitch are always evident, and the 30-year-old provides a goal threat from midfield.

Soucek’s situation will be one to keep an eye on, but TFG should consider giving Moyes what he wants.
