Everton ‘ahead of the curve’ as £200m development emerges at Manchester United
Everton look to be in a better place than Manchester United despite years of financial trouble at Goodison Park.
The Toffees have had a tough time in years gone by, with Farhad Moshiri nearly steering the L4 club out of the Premier League on various occasions.
Fortunately for the Evertonians, the Friedkin Group have come in and offered a major financial boost ahead of the move to the Bramley-Moore Dock.
With that in mind, it looks as if the Merseyside outfit are even looking better placed than Premier League giants Manchester United.

Bramley-Moore Dock stadium boosts Everton above Man United
There is so much positivity surrounding the Goodison outfit right now as David Moyes continues to get the best out of his side.
This has come at a perfect time as the Toffees prepare to move into the new Bramley-Moore Dock stadium after test events earlier this year.
It appears that this sort of stadium move has become a normal ambition among Premier League clubs as PSR issues become more prevalent.
This has seen the likes of Newcastle, Chelsea and Manchester United moot potential new homes, with the latter seeking over £200million of government funding to fulfil their dream at Old Trafford.
With that in mind, interim chief executive in L4, Colin Chong, believes Everton have beaten the starting gun to take a step ahead of the Red Devils.
In an interview with the Financial Times (22 April), he said: “We are at least five, six years ahead of the curve there, and if I were a politician, I’d be saying, ‘Where can I make an immediate impact? It’s got to be in the north-west of England.
“Actually, Liverpool is ripe for it, let’s go and have a look at how we can assist them.”

Everton can take strides forward at Bramley-Moore Dock
At the time, the decision to move away from Goodison felt like a silly decision and a pipedream that was never going to come true.
At times, it had looked as if the financial issues surrounding the club were going to damage the chances of the project’s completion.
Name | No. of Shares Owned | % Owned (of total issued shares) |
Roundhouse Capital Holdings Limited (Dan Friedkin) | 1,613,818 | 99.5% |
Other Shareholders | 7,969 | 0.5% |
Total | 1,621,787 | 100% |
It doesn’t appear that this is going to be the case, and instead, the Toffees look set to move into their state-of-the-art facility in the coming weeks and months.
If Moyes can continue to get the best out of the likes of Jarrad Branthwaite, Idrissa Gueye and Iliman Ndiaye, there is no reason why success can’t continue for many years.
