Vitaliy Mykolenko ‘may be finished at Everton’ after Leicester developments
Vitaliy Mykolenko has been a dependable option for Everton this season.
The Ukrainian international is the only senior option available for David Moyes on the left side of defence but there are doubts over his long-term suitability.
The Toffees need more competition in the position and they could be about to secure a replacement for the 25-year-old, which could spell disaster for his future at Goodison Park.

Everton want to sign Leicester left-back
The Friedkin Group are set to back Moyes in the transfer window, and one position of need is definitely left-back.
A report from TEAMtalk (23 April) claims that the Blues are big admirers of Leicester defender Victor Kristiansen.
It states that the Foxes may be forced to sell numerous stars as a result of their relegation to the Championship and that the Dane may be available as a result.

Mykolenko could be finished if Leicester man is signed
Kristiansen is 22 years old, so three years younger than the current Blues man and he could prove to be an upgrade in a better team than the relegated Foxes.
He already has European experience as he played in the Champions League and Conference League with FC Copenhagen in his homeland.
Stats (Premier League) | Kristiansen |
Matches | 28 |
Expected Assists (xA) | 1.72 |
Pass accuracy | 82.1% |
Ground duels won | 129 (52%) |
The Toffees would be a step up and it would allow the Danish international to showcase his talents, there is clearly a good player there as he played 32 times for Bologna last season, who qualified for Europe’s top competition.
He returned to the King Power Stadium this campaign and has been the starter, but has not been able to help them avoid relegation to the second tier after a dismal season.
Mykolenko has proved that he is a decent player albeit nothing special in his time at Goodison and should be moved on if a suitable offer comes in for his services, so that the Blues can upgrade with someone who is more dangerous in attack and better defensively.
Whether than is Kristensen or not, remains to be seen, however, the Ukrainian is not the long-term answer and if Moyes’ side can replace him, they should because if they want to get into Europe, they need top-quality players and they need them as soon as possible.
