David Moyes must hook Beto at HT after what Everton star did v Chelsea
Beto does not deserve to come out for the second half at Stamford Bridge after what the Everton striker did against Chelsea.
Moyes made two changes for the Premier League clash with Chelsea on Saturday (26 April).
Nathan Patterson replaced the injured James Tarkowski, while Beto was brought in for Armando Broja after starting on the bench in the 2-0 Premier League defeat to Manchester City at Goodison Park on Saturday (19 April).
However, after what the striker did in the first half against Enzo Maresca’s side, Moyes should look to make a change at the break.

Beto at fault as Everton concede against Chelsea
Heading into the Premier League clash, Chelsea were clear favourites to beat Everton in West London, and that showed in the first half.
The hosts were much the better side, with the Toffees failing to register a shot, and took the lead in the 27th minute through Nicolas Jackson.
It ended a run of 13 games without a goal for Jackson. However, the striker owed a big thank you to Beto, who provided his opposite number with a helping hand by making an error which led to the goal [Sofascore] after giving the ball away near the centre circle.
In addition, Beto failed with his one dribble attempt, was accurate with just 50 per cent of his passes, and won just two of his eight duels overall.
As a result, Moyes needs to seriously consider making a change.
Everton need to show more against Chelsea
This game won’t define Everton’s season, with Moyes’ side already safe from relegation.
Premier League 2024/25 | Position | Points |
Everton | 13th | 38 |
Manchester United | 14th | 38 |
Wolves | 15th | 38 |
Tottenham | 16th | 37 |
West Ham | 17th | 36 |
Ipswich Town | 18th | 21 |
However, considering the Toffees aren’t at risk of going down and aren’t playing for anything, supporters might expect their side to be a little more adventurous.
Therefore, when Everton come out for the second half, the players should look to take a few more risks, as after all, they have nothing to lose.
