Everton begin talks with out-of-contract players as Calvert-Lewin update shared
David Moyes is looking ahead to a transformational summer with Everton, in his first transfer window since returning to the Toffees.
The Friedkin Group’s takeover means that the Blues are in a stable position for the first time in a while, making the prospects of the summer more optimistic.
However, PSR restrictions will still play their part and Moyes will have to be measured in his signings, turning to some of the talent he already has in his team.
One man whose future remains in doubt is Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who sees his contract at Goodison Park expire at the end of the campaign.

Moyes gets going with Everton summer business
Everton have several players who are out of contract at the end of the campaign, leaving plenty of work for Moyes to consider ahead of the end of the campaign.
There will have to be a level of retention in the side, with the ability to overhaul the squad completely being unrealistic due to financial reasons.

With the Blues confirmed to be safe in the Premier League for another season, Moyes can now turn his attention to the summer, ensuring that he is prepared for the break.
According to the Daily Mail (28 April), the Toffees are set to open talks with their out-of-contract players whom they are keen to keep on Merseyside in the coming days.
Everton seem to be preparing a move for a new striker in the summer, with links to Liam Delap, who is heading to the Championship with Ipswich as it stands.
However, the boss will need backup options too, which leaves questions over whether Calvert-Lewin could be kept around.
Having been out of action for Everton since the end of January, the striker is now prepared to step up his return from injury and could be available for the game against Ipswich Town on Saturday (3 May).
Therefore, this gives the 28-year-old an opportunity to show Moyes why he is worthy of a new deal.

Everton to part ways with Calvert-Lewin
While the boss has to be measured in his level of work in the summer, Beto has stepped up his standards and has another two years on his contract, which would possibly make him a more attractive prospect.
Calvert-Lewin has done plenty during his time with Everton, but his lack of fitness must raise concerns with those at Goodison and flag a new deal as a risk.
The Toffees may have to face some big battles to secure some of the targets they do want, but even if they don’t get those at the top of their list, they surely have the opportunity to get more reliable additions than their current striker.
