Everton v Ipswich Town result predicted by supercomputer
Everton will be aiming to end their winless run on Saturday as they welcome Ipswich Town to Goodison Park.
The Toffees have only picked up one victory in their last nine matches, which includes back-to-back losses against Manchester City and Chelsea.
While there is little on the line for the last four Premier League fixtures, many of the Goodison Park faithful will be expecting to see victories in their final two home games before moving to Bramley-Moore Dock in the summer.
With Ipswich up first, Opta has predicted the result ahead of the weekend’s match.

Everton expected to return to winning ways
While Everton’s recent form hasn’t been pretty, they have become hard to beat. While the Merseyside club have only won one of their last nine matches, they have also only lost three matches in the same period.
Therefore, up against relegated Ipswich, who have lost seven of their last nine Premier League matches, it is understandable why Moyes’ side would be favourites.
Everton’s last four Premier League matches | Dates |
Everton vs Ipswich Town | 3 May |
Fulham vs Everton | 10 May |
Everton vs Southampton | 18 May |
Newcastle United vs Everton | 25 May |
Opta‘s supercomputer (30 April) backs this claim. In its predictions, the supercomputer believes that there is a 55.8 per cent chance that Everton will come away from the match with a victory.
In comparison, Ipswich have a 21 per cent chance of a win, while a draw is estimated at a 23.2 per cent chance.

Everton must end their season on a high note
When Moyes took over the Toffees, things couldn’t have gone much better. Everton won five of his first seven matches in all competitions, with the club looking like they were outsiders for Europe.
However, back-to-back losses have put a dampener on things somewhat. Now, this must end quickly as Everton cannot end their season on long winless run.
Form can often pass over onto the next campaign, and if this were to happen to the Toffees, it could spell bad news.
Luckily, Everton face relegated Ipswich and Southampton in their last two home fixtures, providing a chance to lift the mood once again.
