Jesper Lindstrom transfer: Word emerges on Everton permanent deal with Napoli

Everton are set for an extremely busy summer as they ambitiously aim to build a much-improved squad at Bramley-Moore Dock.

The Friedkin Group have been nothing if not brazen with their impact on the structure of the club, as Angus Kinnear’s appointment as CEO looks to shake up the whole effect of the hierarchy.

Transfers are anticipated following a January window in which Everton had to bide their time, but there are also set to be many departures as well as arrivals.

Dan Friedkin is the Everton owner.

Everton latest on Jesper Lindstrom emerges

Everton signed Lindstrom on loan from Napoli last summer, and he has featured with 29 appearances in all competitions.

However, he has failed to make a major impression and is unlikely to be retained on a permanent basis, according to Mark Douglas.

Douglas reported via i News (30 April) that among the likely departures from Merseyside this summer, Lindstrom’s chances of leaving are high.

The attacking midfielder and winger has been out with a groin injury of late – last appearing via two starts for Denmark in the March international break – and has so far failed to score in an Everton shirt.

Douglas said of Lindstrom: “Word is that he’s unlikely to be retained after a mediocre loan spell…”

The 25-year-old Dane had struggled to get a run of games in the Napoli side prior to his move, and could benefit from moving on altogether.

Moyes will have had assurances from TFG on transfers

The consensus is that surely Moyes would have been convinced of autonomy and summer investment to strengthen the Everton squad when he returned to Goodison Park.

The 62-year-old was at a comfortable point in his managerial career when he returned to the old stomping ground, and now he could be the man to once again return the Toffees to Europe.

Moyes has steadied the ship and allowed Everton a lot longer to plan for their new era

It might sound far-fetched, but TFG are ready and waiting to strike, and enjoy a maiden season at Bramley-Moore Dock fully in control of the club.

Plenty of moves have already been made, and Everton fans can be prepared to see a very, very different squad come kick-off in August at their new home.
