David Moyes will lead a new dawn at Everton, with Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap wanted at Goodison Park.

The Toffees hosted Kieran McKenna’s team in the Premier League on Saturday (3 May), with the visitors already relegated to the Championship.

The journalist revealed that the former Manchester City striker is someone the Scottish manager would love to make the face of the Merseyside outfit’s future.

Moyes needs new striker at Bramley-Moore Dock

Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s current contract at Goodison Park expires at the end of the season, and it remains to be seen whether he’ll stay.

Moyes will also lose Armando Broja once the campaign concludes, as the Albanian ace will return to his parent club, Chelsea.

Youssef Chermiti has returned to action in recent matches, but the 20-year-old’s fitness issues make him unreliable.

Everton have relied on Beto since Moyes’ appointment, and while the Guinea-Bissau forward had an encouraging patch of form, goals have dried up for him.

The Toffees arguably can’t go into the next season with uncertainty surrounding their number nines, and The Friedkin Group (TFG) must make some statement signings next summer.

Delap would undoubtedly signal the American owners’ aspirations of wanting to take the Merseyside outfit to the familiar heights of the past.

While several other top teams are interested in the 22-year-old, the Blues must convince him with the prospect of being the face of the team.

It’ll be interesting to see who will lead the Toffees’ line for the opening game in the Premier League next season.
