Everton want to sign new fan favourite for Bramley-Moore Dock for £25.5m+

David Moyes has plenty of work ahead of him in the summer transfer window.

The Scotsman has done an impressive job at turning things around since his return to Goodison Park at the start of the year.

However, dropping points in a 2-2 draw against already-relegated Ipswich Town on Saturday (3 May) served as a reminder that there is plenty of work to be done.

The Friedkin Group are expected to give Moyes increased investment compared to what Everton have had to cope with in recent seasons, although a focus on sustainability will still be clear.

Omari Hutchinson on Everton target list

Not only do Everton need new faces to improve their side in the summer transfer window, but several players are also out of contract.

Moyes has decisions to make about the futures of some, but there is likely to be a fair number of departures from Goodison Park, requiring additions to take their place.

The boss has already made it clear that he intends to target some younger players at Everton, in the hope of reducing the average age of the squad and also creating a faster-paced side.

With that in mind, Caught Offside have reported (4 May) that Omari Hutchinson is one man on the list of summer targets, with the Toffees showing strong interest.

The report states that several top-flight sides are keen on securing his services after Ipswich Town’s relegation back to the Championship.

However, with young talent having been developed on Merseyside in the past, Hutchinson has been backed as a crucial addition who could quickly become a fan favourite at Bramley-Moore Dock.

Hutchinson is the kind of addition the new Everton needs

Moyes certainly wants to see progress on and off the pitch next season, as his side prepares for a move to Bramley-Moore Dock.

Therefore, you can understand why there’s an emphasis on youthful recruitment and if that is the aim, then Hutchinson would be a great fit for the vacancy.

Although he hasn’t registered his best numbers this season, it is worth remembering that he played in a struggling side and has still shown signs of quality.

Everton are keen on Hutchinson.

At just 21-years-old, it’s a great time to gain Hutchinson as a signing with the ability to shape him going forward.

This is exactly the type of exciting talent that the Blues need to be considering if they are to gain a good balance of players to take them into next season.
