Wolves set to hire Everton chief who Kinnear wanted to keep hold of
Everton are set to lose a key member of the backroom staff that Angus Kinnear wanted to keep on Merseyside.
The former Leeds chief is set to join the Blues in the summer to lead the new-look sporting leadership team.
However, the Friedkin Group appointee is set to be disappointed as fellow Premier League outfit Wolves are set to poach a highly-rated employee.

Kinnear blow as Everton set to lose Purdy
The new ownership has made several changes behind the scenes, but some staff members were set to remain with the Goodison Park club.
A report from Alan Nixon (4 May), via his Patreon, claims that the Blues’ chief scout Dan Purdy is set to depart for the Old Gold.
It states that while his job was under review, Kinnear wanted to keep him in his post amid interest from Rangers, who have just hired former Toffees sporting director Kevin Thelwell.

Everton reshuffle set to continue
The loss of Purdy will be a disappointment for Kinnear and Co, however, the Blues must move on and continue their backroom reshuffle.
A major shake-up was needed behind the scenes, to rid the club of the poor mentality that developed under the ownership of Farhad Moshiri and left the club fighting relegation season after season.

Kinnear and his changes bring excitement and if he makes the right decision concerning his recruitment staff, it could be a very profitable move for the Friedkin’s.
David Moyes’ plans in the transfer market should not change despite Purdy’s impending exit, targets will have already been identified and the Blues can still make the required moves to head towards the top half of the table.
The top player on the Scotsman’s list is Ipswich frontman Liam Delap but a move could prove difficult as the 22-year-old is attracting interest from the likes of Manchester United, Tottenham and Chelsea and will likely pick one of those with European football on offer.
It is unlikely that Purdy’s departure will affect the Blues too much in the short term, the fact that Kinnear wanted him to stay shows how highly-rated he is, however, they can still bring in top-quality recruits.
