TFG pull off their best move yet at Everton as Paul Joyce drops stunning news
The Friedkin Group’s takeover of Everton has resulted in many changes since they purchased the Toffees in 2024.
After years of decline at the Merseyside club, there is now hope that they can return to Europe under David Moyes.
Multiple controversial backroom changes have already been made, with sporting director Kevin Thelwell set to depart Everton.
However, The Friedkin Group have just made their best move at Everton yet, after they announced that Goodison Park will become the women’s stadium next season.

Goodison Park set to be the new home for Everton Women
Everton fans thought Sunday would be the last time they would attend Goodison Park ahead of their move to Bramley-Moore Dock.
The Toffees face Southampton in their final home game of the campaign. However, supporters now have a chance to attend Everton matches at Goodison Park in the future.

Paul Joyce in The Times (13 May) reported that Goodison Park will be the home of Everton Women next season.
Originally, there were plans to provide a range of community initiatives, such as housing and health facilities.
However, Everton’s owners, The Friedkin Group, have now had a change of heart and have decided to keep Goodison Park as a football stadium for the women’s team in the WSL.
This is no doubt a masterful move by the owners. With Goodison Park being such an iconic stadium, it would be heartbreaking for fans to see it knocked down.
Instead, it allows supporters to revisit the ground next season and still watch entertaining top-flight football.
On top of this, it also shows support for the ever-growing women’s game in the country.

Goodison Park becoming the Everton Women’s stadium is a win for the WSL
Thanks to this news, Goodison Park will no doubt become the most iconic permanent ground in the WSL.
There is no doubt that the stadium is one of the best in the country, and it will be a massive improvement on Walton Hall Park.
Hopefully, this move will inspire more girls to get involved in football and watch the women’s game.
The Friedkin Group also deserve a lot of credit for this move, as it would have been easy to simply knock the ground down.
