Everton delighted by Iliman Ndiaye developments
Everton closed out their historic chapter at Goodison Park with a victory against Southampton, as Iliman Ndiaye stood out above the rest yet again.
The Toffees bid farewell to their iconic stadium with a 2-0 victory over the relegated Saints on Sunday, in which the occasion was bigger than the game itself.
Everton could now secure a 13th-place finish following the win, and they have Ndiaye to thank, as he scored both goals.
Ndiaye has been a shining light for Everton since signing from Marseille, and his latest brace saw him take his goals really well, with the Blues delighted.
Ndiaye impressing at Everton
Ndiaye’s two strikes were his eighth and ninth in the Premier League this season, a strong return for the left-winger following his move from Marseille last summer.
After a fairly slow start and injuries, Ndiaye has become a key player for the Toffees and has easily stood out as one of their best attacking players.
Everton are delighted with how the £15million transfer has turned out for the former Sheffield United star, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Italian journalist states that the Toffees are happy with his performances, as they look ahead to the Hill Dickinson Stadium move this summer.
“Iliman Ndiaye reached nine goals on his first season at Everton, with club happy with his performances,” he wrote on X.
David Moyes helped Ndiaye explode at Everton
Ndiaye joined Everton last summer during Sean Dyche’s reign in charge, but it took him some time to get going in a struggling side.
However, the return of David Moyes midway through the season helped Ndiaye explode, with the Blues improving as a whole, and the winger able to find himself in more consistent promising positions.
Just three of his nine Premier League goals came under Dyche, with two coming in his first 16 appearances, but it has been a different story for the 25-year-old under Moyes at Goodison Park.
With Everton set to make several changes in the transfer window, Ndiaye will be one player Moyes may wish to build his team around as a key figure and an outlet in front of goal, and there will be hope that the Senegal star can continue to build on a fine first campaign.
