Everton news round-up: Calvert-Lewin possible next club named as Doak update shared

Everton are expecting a busy transfer window as they prepare for their first season playing home games at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

As the end of June approaches, all eyes are on the first-team players who have yet to sign contracts to play for the Toffees during the 2025-26 season.

Here are the biggest headlines to emerge from Bramley-Moore Dock over the last 24 hours.

Everton interested in signing Christantus Uche

Everton are among a host of Premier League clubs interested in signing Getafe midfielder Christantus Uche.

The 22-year-old Nigerian emerged as a dominant force in La Liga last season, but he’s believed to be open to moving to England.

In an exclusive interview with Goodison News, Dr Rajpal Brar said there should be no concerns about Uche passing a medical at Everton despite his hamstring injury toward the end of last season.

Toffees target Nick Woltemade opts to sign for Bayern Munich

Everton had been tracking German striker Nick Woltemade with a view to potentially bringing him to Merseyside.

The striker notched 17 goals for VfB Stuttgart last season, and is regarded as one of the most talented young strikers in Europe.

Sadly, Woltemade has agreed personal terms with Bayern Munich. It seems he will now become the latest young German talent to be poached by the Bundesliga champions.

Everton target Doak looks likely to be sold this summer

Liverpool winger Ben Doak has been on Everton’s radar for a while.

The 19-year-old impressed on loan at Middlesbrough last season, but it looks as if Liverpool may be ready to sell him.

Recent headlines suggest Liverpool are arranging a swap deal for Doak with Crystal Palace, as they are interested in bringing Marc Guehi to Anfield.

So, if Everton want to make a move, they would need to do so soon.

Calvert-Lewin’s potential next club has been named

Dominic Calvert-Lewin has confirmed that he will leave Everton on a free transfer this summer, as he was unable to negotiate a new deal with the club.

The England striker spent nine years on Merseyside, bagging 71 goals in a Toffees shirt. He has been far from his best in recent years, though, as injury problems have taken their toll.

Calvert-Lewin has been strongly linked with a move to West Ham United.

However, former Everton scout Bryan King believes Calvert-Lewin will end up at Leeds United, Burnley or Sunderland.
