‘Wesley to jet into Liverpool for Everton signing before immediately leaving’
Everton could be set to complete the signing of Wesley from Flamengo.
The Brazil international is coming off the back of a Club World Cup campaign, where Bayern Munich unfortunately knocked his side out.
This saw the 21-year-old make just two appearances in America as he looks set to continue the Brazilian Serie A season in just nine days’ time (13 July).
With that being said, the right-back looks set to fly into Merseyside to complete a move before then, as an instant Goodison exit could be on the cards.

Wesley to journey to Liverpool for Everton transfer
It is fair to say that the full-back positions are areas which could do with some renovation ahead of David Moyes’ first full season in charge, since his return.
This is especially true on the right hand side after the departure of Ashley Young at the end of his deal with the Blues.
Although Jake O’Brien has performed well in that role, his services are likely to be required at the heart of defence at many points of the campaign.
As a result, a move for Wesley at Flamengo makes sense for Everton, with Corriere dello Sport confirming their interest on 4 July (page 12).
This could see the Brazilian defender make the journey over to Liverpool to put pen to paper on a deal with the Toffees ahead of the new season.
Despite this, the report suggests that Dan Friedkin could then utilise his links with Roma to immediately loan the right-back to Serie A for the season.

Wesley to join Roma after Everton transfer
It does make sense for the Toffees to make the most of their newfound links with the Serie A giants, but this doesn’t feel beneficial.
The Blues are in need of a right-back, so bringing one in before instantly handing him over to Roma this summer won’t sit right with many fans at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

This transfer appears to be one that will benefit the Italian arm of the Friedkin Group’s operation as opposed to the Toffees.
It will be interesting to see how this sort of move is structured and whether Wesley would welcome a move to Everton if it meant an instant move elsewhere.
