Everton ‘to take extra steps’ as Richarlison transfer update emerges

Everton are keen on a reunion with Richarlison, whose stint at Tottenham has been marred by fitness issues and inconsistent form.

Dr Rajpal Brar, an injury expert, has assessed the Brazil international’s availability ahead of a potential transfer this summer.

Richarlison has shone on occasion for Spurs but has found it hard to stay fit for a considerable period of time.

Richarlison’s muscular injuries may cause an issue

The Toffees would carefully examine his fitness issues before deciding on signing him, according to Dr Brar.

Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, Dr Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and a Sports Scientist, said about Richarlison: “Everton may take a closer look at the history of muscular injuries, his hamstring, calf and groin to assess the risk of recurrence and determine if there are any outlier or high-risk issues.

“His game time since joining Spurs has been erratic as he’s faced fitness issues.

“That surely is something that will come into consideration before making any decision.”

Everton must consider signing Richarlison if his fitness parameters are good

A Richarlison return to Everton makes sense due to his proven track record and emotional connection with the club.

During his 2018-2022 stint, he scored 53 goals in 152 appearances, thriving as a versatile forward with tenacity and flair.

His physicality and work rate align perfectly with Moyes’ style, which emphasises attacking freedom and combination play.

Moyes can maximise the 28-year-old’s impact by deploying him in a free role off the right, leveraging his ability to score and link play.

Despite recent injuries at Spurs, a loan return to a familiar environment could reignite his form, boosting Everton’s attack and fanbase morale at the new Hill Dickinson Stadium.
