Everton transfer round-up: Richarlison latest as player pens two-year deal

Everton’s summer transfer plans are starting to accelerate.

Following the arrival of Thierno Barry, Everton‘s summer of recruitment has officially lifted off, with plenty more arrivals expected over the coming weeks.

However, exits will also occur on Merseyside, with a handful of players linked with a move from Everton as the season draws closer.

Chris Rigg on Everton radar after Sunderland news

Chris Rigg has made a name for himself on Wearside, having established himself as a regular in the Sunderland first team at just 17 years old.

Everton were linked with a move in the winter, but with the Black Cats earning promotion, their stance has solidified, with it claimed that they are readying a contract offer that would see him become one of the highest earning footballers in the top tier.

However, Everton remain interested in the teenage midfielder, and could be waiting to pounce should those contract talks stall in the coming weeks.

Richarlison concern emerges amid Everton links

Everton have been linked with a move to bring Richarlison back to Merseyside, with it looking as though there will be no space for him at Tottenham, though no approach has been made yet.

However, should the Toffees prepare a move, it is believed that an injury concern could emerge in regard to the Brazilian.

Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, Dr Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and a Sports Scientist, said about Richarlison: “Everton may take a closer look at the history of muscular injuries, his hamstring, calf and groin to assess the risk of recurrence and determine if there are any outlier or high-risk issues.

That surely is something that will come into consideration before making any decision.”

Everton defender signs new contract

Everton’s first team have already been boosted massively this summer with the news that Jarrad Branthwaite signed a new deal, with similar news emerging from the youth team.

Josh van Schoor has committed his future to the Toffees, signing a two-year contract.

The left-back joined Everton from Wigan at the age of 10, and has been with the club ever since.

Now 18, the chance is there for a loan for regular football, or Everton may look to keep him around for the next season before deciding on his future.
