‘Everton to beat West Ham to Jack Grealish transfer’ after new reveal

Everton could still secure Jack Grealish’s signature this summer.

The Friedkin Group are set to back David Moyes to improve his squad but are still seeking a marquee signing to kick off the new era.

A move for the Manchester City man could be on the cards as the Blues desperately need attacking reinforcements, having finished as the fourth-lowest scorers in the Premier League last season.

Grealish needs a change of scenery to revive his career after a dismal campaign where he notched just one goal and one assist in 20 league matches.

Everton still want Grealish amid new reveal

Everton have been constantly linked with Grealish, and they may have to firm up their interest after the latest reveal.

talkSPORT journalist Ben Jacobs (17 July) claims that West Ham are the latest team to enquire about the former England star.

He states that the Blues are also still interested in Grealish, if City decide to sanction a loan deal.

Everton should beat West Ham to Grealish

Surely, if it is a question of which club he would rather join, it would be Moyes’ side.

He will want to be the main man at his new club as he looks to revive his fortunes, and he would be that at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

He would not be in East London, as Jarrod Bowen is the star man at Moyes’ former club, with the England ace holding the creative burden.

Whereas, with the Merseysiders, he would help ease the burden from Iliman Ndiaye and thrive under the Scotsman as he is handed more responsibility from either the left wing or the number 10 role.

Also, the Toffees are a bigger club in terms of their history and reputation, and that seems like something that would appeal to Grealish, the chance to play for a club of the Blues’ size.

If Everton wants the 29-year-old, they should be able to get him; it probably just depends on whether City will allow him to leave on loan.

Iconic commentator Ian Darke told Goodison News that Grealish may be willing to take a pay cut to end his nightmare at the Etihad Stadium.
