McAtee top transfer target in Maghnes Akliouche development at Everton
Everton could potentially sign Monaco attacker Maghnes Akliouche and Manchester City midfielder James McAtee this transfer window.
The Toffees are looking to bolster their squad as they host their first Premier League fixture at the Hill Dickinson Stadium on 24 August against Brighton.
David Moyes wants McAtee at the Blues, but it remains to be seen whether they will be able to sign him.
The Merseyside outfit appears to be prioritising bolstering their right wing, with Real Sociedad forward Takefusa Kubo potentially the next likely target, but they have more names on their list.

Akliouche part of ambitious Everton transfer list that McAtee heads
McAtee heads the list of the Toffees’ ambitious plans this summer, which also includes Akliouche, according to the Independent.
The news outlet reports (18 July) that Moyes wants a new right-back, two midfielders and a right-winger at Bramley-Moore Dock next season.
It’s been claimed that The Friedkin Group (TFG) can spend up to £150million at the Blues in the coming weeks, with Juventus’ Douglas Luiz, Freiburg’s Merlin Rohl, Kubo and Panathinaikos’ Georgios Vagiannidis also on their radar.
Competition | Appearances | Goals | Assists |
Ligue 1 | 32 | 5 | 10 |
While the Merseyside outfit are monitoring some quality players, nothing is advanced yet in terms of working on potential deals, with competition expected for their signatures.
If the Toffees manage to sign some of the aforementioned stars, supporters will undoubtedly be delighted with the American owners.
Akliouche was one of the best playmakers in Ligue 1 last season, providing 10 league assists mainly playing on the right wing, while McAtee has shown a lot of potential at Man City.
Moyes should be backed at Hill Dickinson Stadium this transfer window
Moyes has done incredibly well since replacing Sean Dyche, and he has done enough to earn TFG’s faith in him.
Everton were contenders for relegation under the former Burnley head coach, but the Scottish manager turned the tide almost instantly.
The Merseyside outfit finished 13th in the Premier League last season, and fans will now want to see the American ownership build a squad competitive enough to challenge for a European spot.
McAtee, Luiz, Kubo and Akliouche will certainly strengthen the Toffees, but it remains to be seen how many of them they can realistically sign.
