Everton have to go all out for Yves Bissouma as Tottenham transfer approach prepared
Everton could be about to take their pursuit of Yves Bissouma to the next stage as we near the end of the transfer window.
The Toffees have already completed seven summer signings, but there is still hope for a few more deals to be done ahead of the imminent 1 September deadline.
Bissouma has emerged as a target for Everton, as they try and make last-minute improvements to a squad that is still stretched fairly thinly.
David Moyes was forced to play players out of position in the defeat to Leeds United in their opening Premier League outing, and that clash has certainly highlighted the need for further additions.

Everton have Yves Bissouma urgency as Galatasaray ready approach
Everton’s pursuit of Bissouma had been handed a boost by the news that the midfielder is keen to remain in the Premier League if he does depart Tottenham.
The Mali international is not angling for a departure at the moment, but the decision could be taken out of his hands.
However, that desire to remain in England may now be tested following news of interest from Galatasaray.
The Istanbul-based giants are reportedly preparing to initiate contact with Spurs over a move for Bissouma, according to Turkish outlet Takvim.
While a switch to Okan Buruk’s side would mean a move away from the Premier League, it would also enable Bissouma to play Champions League football next season, which should be enough to concern the Toffees.
With Galatasaray seemingly moving quickly to try and land the 28-year-old, it has surely become clear to Everton that they need to go all out to secure Bissouma’s signature as soon as possible, or they are at serious risk of missing out.

Yves Bissouma deal would solve midfield issue
It has been suggested that Everton may be able to strike a deal for Bissouma for around £15million, and for that kind of money, it feels like a deal that could be a no-brainer.
The Toffees are badly lacking depth at the base of their midfield, with just three senior options in Idrissa Gana Gueye, James Garner and Tim Iroegbunam.
Stats (per 90) | Bissouma | Gueye | Garner |
Starts | 16 | 35 | 17 |
Progressive Passes | 4.81 | 4.26 | 2.82 |
Progressive Carries | 0.96 | 0.79 | 0.85 |
Tackles Won | 1.99 | 2.35 | 1.75 |
Interceptions | 1.15 | 1.41 | 1.30 |
Iroegbunam struggled in the defeat to Leeds, and cover will certainly be needed for Gueye, given that he will turn 36 at the end of September.
With that in mind, Bissouma could be the ideal man to ease the workload on Moyes’ midfield. He provides a similar energy and destructive element to Gueye and has ample Premier League experience to provide.
It may not be an overly glamorous signing, but Moyes would surely back himself to get the former Brighton star back to his best.
