Everton predicted XI vs Mansfield Town: Beto reclaims starting spot, new signing given nod
Everton will be determined to win against Mansfield Town in the second round of the Carabao Cup on Wednesday.
After the Toffees’ disappointing defeat to Leeds United, Everton were focused on turning things around at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
In front of all their fans, Everton christened their new stadium with a win against Brighton in the Premier League. Iliman Nidaye and James Garner may have been the goal scorers, but Jack Grealish stole the show for Everton.
Grealish announced himself to the top-flight once again with two assists against the Seagulls. After a stunning display from his men, David Moyes will want to build on this momentum against Mansfield.

David Moyes to make few changes against Mansfield Town
Moyes has had to grapple with numerous injuries at Everton these past couple of weeks.
While the Toffees coach seems to be handling things quite well, it has left him with limited options against Mansfield. Adam Aznou is close to returning for Everton, but is likely to start on the bench if named in Moyes’ squad.
This leaves James Garner to once again fill in as left back. And with Jarrad Branthwaite also sidelined with injury, Michael Keane and James Tarkowski should form their centre-back pairing. Meanwhile, Jake O’Brien, who has become a makeshift right back for Moyes, should retain his starting spot.
After Jordan Pickford’s penalty saving heroics against Brighton, the Englishman is set to be given a well-deserved rest, with new signing Mark Travers earning his first competitive start for the Toffees.
Idrissa Gueye, Tim Iroegbaunam and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall should once again form Moyes’ midfield trio. With the game taking place so early in the season, it is likely the Everton coach will want to build greater synergy between his players.

Beto to reclaim his starting spot at Everton
After a disappointing performance against Leeds United, Beto could find himself in the starting lineup once again.
Troy Deeney was delighted for Thierno Barry after he was handed his first competitive start. But he could be demoted to the bench on Wednesday, as the competition between these two continues to grow.

Moyes relied on Beto on several occasions last season and no doubt will want to see him recover his form. As a result, he, along with Nidaye and Carlos Alcaraz, could form Everton’s front three.
