Everton transfer window round-up: Done deals and what to expect before deadline day
Everton have spent plenty of money so far this summer, with some exciting new faces arriving on Merseyside.
David Moyes looks to be assembling a squad that is perhaps capable of pushing for a top-half finish in the Premier League this season.
If the Toffees could achieve this feat, it would be their first top-half finish since the 2020/21 campaign, with Everton being involved in relegation scraps as opposed to pushing up the table and competing for the European spots in recent years.
The Friedkin Group have shown their ambition so far in their first summer in charge, and their spending may not have finished just yet.

Who have Everton bought and sold so far this summer?
The Hill Dickinson Stadium will have undoubtedly played a part in attracting some of the big names that have signed for Everton this summer, as the Blues aim to make their new home a fortress.
Eight new signings have been added to Moyes’ squad so far this summer, with Jack Grealish being Everton’s marquee signing of the window so far.
Big money has also recently been spent on Tyler Dibling, in what is another exciting addition to Everton’s forward line.
Everton signings so far this summer:
- Jack Grealish – loan from Manchester City
- Thierno Barry – permanent from Villarreal
- Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall – permanent from Chelsea
- Tyler Dibling – permanent from Southampton
- Mark Travers – permanent from Bournemouth
- Adam Aznou – permanent from Bayern Munich
- Carlos Alcaraz – permanent from Flamengo
- Tom King – permanent from Wolves
The Blues have also parted ways with a large number of players this summer, as Moyes has been able to shift some dead wood in order to help fund his rebuild.
Everton departures so far this summer:
- Neal Maupay – permanent to Marseille
- Ashley Young – free to Ipswich Town
- Mason Holgate – free to Al-Gharafa
- Joao Virginia – free to Sporting Lisbon
- Asmir Begovic – free to Leicester City
- Abdoulaye Doucoure – free to NEOM SC
- Dominic Calvert-Lewin – free to Leeds United
- Billy Crellin – released
There has been some concern regarding how little Everton have raised through player sales this summer, but there is not one player on that list of departures that Evertonians will be wishing they kept around.

What will Everton do before the deadline on 1 September?
With transfer deadline day on the horizon, Everton must act swiftly if they want to get any additional deals done.
Victor Lindelof has been linked with a move to the Blues, with the Swedish defender leaving Manchester United as a free agent.
An ambitious move for Lucas Paqueta could also be on the cards, with the Brazilian playmaker’s future being up in the air at West Ham.
There are a few other rumours in the background, but that Paqueta rumour out of the blue is certainly one that will get fans hugely excited.
