Tyler Dibling reveals what he thought of Goodison Park after playing against Everton
Tyler Dibling is saying all the right things after signing for Everton this transfer window.
The 19-year-old featured in the final game the Toffees’ men’s team played at Goodison Park on 18 May, beating Southampton 2-0.
Dibling has now moved to Bramley-Moore Dock in a deal worth £40million, including add-ons, after weeks of negotiations.
Iliman Ndiaye made history at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, scoring the Blues’ first goal at the new stadium against Brighton on 24 August, and poetically, the Senegal international was also the last player to find the back of the net at the Grand Old Lady.

Goodison Park atmosphere left new Everton signing Tyler Dibling in awe
Dibling feels he’s come to the Toffees at the right time, with the 2-0 win against Brighton giving him a taste of what’s to come.
The English youngster is raring to get started in L5 and work under Moyes and his new teammates after sealing a move from Southampton.
During the forward’s 68 minutes on the pitch at Goodison Park back in May, he was left in awe by the atmosphere and noise in the stadium.
- Dibling broke into Southampton’s first team in the 2024/25 campaign.
- The forward made 33 Premier League appearances last season.
- The young winger scored two goals in the English top flight for Southampton.
Speaking after officially being unveiled at the Merseyside outfit, Dibling said: “I think I’ve come to Everton at the perfect time and hopefully I can be here for many years. [The Brighton win] gave me a feel for the club. It looked unbelievable.
“I also played in the last Men’s game at Goodison. It was so loud. I was looking around and thinking, ‘This is quality’. That was a really good insight for me into what it’s like here with the fans and the atmosphere they can create.
“There’s no better feeling than when you’re doing well in football, and to feel that love from the fans is one of the best feelings ever. I’m excited to play here.”

Carlos Alcaraz and Dwight McNeil: Who loses the most after Tyler Dibling’s arrival?
Now that David Moyes has Dibling at his disposal, the Scottish manager won’t be as concerned about the right-wing position, with the youngster likely the first-choice considering how much money has been spent on him.
The Englishman’s arrival will definitely leave a few players in L5 looking over their shoulders as competition for a place in the starting lineup has increased after recent signings.
Ndiaye started on the right side of the attack, but Moyes will surely find a way to keep the 25-year-old in the starting lineup, with Jack Grealish making his presence felt on the left-wing.
Dwight McNeil may want to leave Everton now that Dibling has arrived, as minutes aren’t guaranteed, and Carlos Alcaraz, who can play in multiple positions, has to compete with the likes of Idrissa Gueye, James Garner and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall in the engine room.
It will be interesting to see how Moyes puts all the pieces together in L5.
