Vitalii Mykolenko spotted as Everton injury update emerges before Mansfield Town clash
Vitalii Mykolenko has missed the first two Premier League games of the season for Everton due to an injury.
Mykolenko played the pre-season friendly against AS Roma in July but was taken off in the 12th minute due to fitness issues.
The specifics of his injury were not revealed, but it saw him miss Everton’s loss against Leeds United and David Moyes’ side’s impressive win over Brighton on the weekend.
Ahead of the Brighton match, Moyes said that the Ukraine international was unfit and did not put a timeline on his return.

Vitalii Mykolenko spotted in team training ahead of Mansfield Town clash
Everton take on Mansfield Town next in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday, 27 August – a game that could see Moyes test his bench strength.
It could also give the Scotsman a chance to experiment with a few different systems and get some of the underperforming players back to firing on all cylinders.
A positive for the Toffees manager is that Mykolenko has been spotted in full first-team training along with the rest of the players.
The club released images on their X account on Tuesday and the left-back was there with the group.
Tyler Dibling, who’s now signed for Everton from Southampton, was also seen training with his new teammates.

Everton could give Vitalii Mykolenko 60 minutes against Mansfield Town
Mykolenko’s return to training after a calf injury offers Everton a timely boost ahead of their Carabao Cup clash with Mansfield Town.
The lower-league opposition presents a low-risk opportunity to ease the Ukrainian left-back back into action, potentially for 60 minutes.

With Everton’s defence stretched by injuries to Jarrad Branthwaite and Nathan Patterson, Mykolenko’s return strengthens the backline.
A cautious approach in the cup game allows him to regain match fitness without the intensity of Premier League fixtures, ensuring he’s ready for tougher challenges while minimising re-injury risk.
