Everton mooted to bring new right-back to Hill Dickinson Stadium ahead of transfer deadline
Everton do not seem finished with their transfer activity and there could be more incomings before the 1 September deadline.
New signings Jack Grealish and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall have integrated well, with Grealish putting in another star-studded display against Wolves on Saturday.
However, David Moyes still wants more new players at Everton and it could be a busy couple of days behind the scenes.

Alan Myers expects right-back arrival at Hill Dickinson Stadium
With Ashley Young leaving Everton, Moyes is short of a reliable option at full-back.
Young wasn’t just a right-back, but he was deployed at left-back too and on the right-wing occasionally during an injury crisis.
With Seamus Coleman, 36, battling age and fitness issues, the Toffees cannot expect him to start week in and week out.
- Coleman is in the final year of his deal at Everton
- He made just five appearances in the Premier League last season
- Jake O’Brien has deputised at right-back, but is more comfortable playing centrally
Nathan Patterson could also join Sevilla on loan, which would amplify the Blues’ need to sign another right-back.
Former Sky Sports news editor Alan Myers does expect a new right-back to be the next signing made.

Everton need to sign a right-back, midfielder and striker
Everton need to sign a dynamic and attack-minded right-back to bolster Moyes’ backline and also provide some support for his ever-improving attack.
However, the striker position demands attention too.
Thierno Barry’s arrival shows promise. However, he’s raw and lacks the polish to lead the line consistently.
An experienced and proven striker, who could act as an upgrade on Beto, would likely improve Everton’s goal-scoring output.
Additionally, midfield depth is a concern and the reliance on ageing stars like Idrissa Gueye highlights the need for a versatile midfielder to either compete for a starting spot or provide cover.
Targeting these three areas would address their immediate weaknesses and enhance squad resilience for a challenging season.
