Everton 2-1 West Ham – 18 March 1933

Molineux was where Everton faced a dark moment in midweek, but there were happier scenes there in 1933 for the Blues.

They faced West Ham in the FA Cup semi-final and came out 2-1 winners with goals from James Dunn and Ted Critchley sealing their place in the final.

Not many current Evertonians will remember this one, but it is a crucial part of the club’s history as they went on to win the final over Manchester City.

West Ham 2-3 Everton – 21 September 2013

Leighton Baines is currently a coach at Everton, but he was a legendary figure in his playing days with the Toffees.

Known as one of the best defenders in the Premier League, Baines was also lethal from free-kicks, and the Hammers found out the hard way in September 2013.

The former Wigan Athletic star bagged two goals from dead-ball situations in a 3-2 win on the road.

Everton 2-0 West Ham – 12 May 2013

The clash between the sides was Moyes’ final match at Goodison Park in his first reign as Blues manager.

His side won 2-0 on an emotional occasion, with the Scotsman joining Manchester United after 11 years in the Toffees’ dugout.

A Kevin Mirallas double was the difference between the sides as Moyes said farewell to the supporters who adored him.

Everton 2-1 West Ham – 22 November 2014

Everton beat the Irons 2-1 in November 2014, in Leon Osman’s 400th appearance for the club in all competitions.

The occasion was made even sweeter as the academy product scored the winning goal in the 73rd minute of the contest.

Mauro Zarate had cancelled out Romelu Lukaku’s opener, but Osman came up with the goods to secure victory on a historic personal milestone.
