Everton news round-up: David Moyes labelled ‘self-entitled’ as Joe Hart slams Toffees star
Everton have already had an eventful start to the October international break.
On Sunday, Everton oversaw a dramatic 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace, which finally ended their terrible winless run.
The victory was long overdue and helped give a significant uplift to the Merseyside club heading into the two-week break.
Now, there has been plenty of news in the aftermath of the result, both good and bad.
Therefore, Goodison News has rounded up all of the latest stories below.

Simon Jordan not having David Moyes’ criticism of West Ham
David Moyes oversaw a successful period at West Ham before he took over at Everton.
Here, the Scotsman won the Europa Conference League and regularly qualified the Hammers for Europe.
Last week, he faced his former club in a 1-1 draw, with West Ham now onto their third permanent manager since he left, with Nuno Espirito Santo at the helm.
However, Moyes took aim at the Hammers for their treatment of Graham Potter in his programme notes, with the Englishman taking the pre-match press conference before he was relieved of his duties.
Now, Simon Jordan has hit back, claiming that West Ham did nothing wrong.

He said: “Managers have brass necks, they pop up in the boardrooms of others clubs, waiting like cuckoos, to take the job from their so-called manager that they are supporting, their fellow manager that they are looking after.
“We have had this conversation a number of times, this silly self-entitled attitude has got to pack in, this is a wonderful industry, fraught with challenges, fraught with rewards.
“And it comes with the difficulty of if you don’t succeed, maybe you aren’t going to be given a golden chariot out of the door.”

Joe Hart slams Thierno Barry, praises Beto
While the victory against Crystal Palace was fantastic, there were still plenty of faults in the display.
The first half in particular was awful from Everton, and the Toffees were lucky not to be significantly behind.
As a result, Moyes made changes at half-time, with Thierno Barry being brought off for Beto, with the summer signing having a poor game.
Looking back on the match, Joe Hart slammed Barry’s performance for Everton, while also praising Beto’s impact.

He stated: “Barry starting up front, just not quite the presence that David Moyes was looking for.
“Crystal Palace were excellent in the first half, excellent, and they got very few chances. Barry trying to link up there, just couldn’t give an option, ended up hiding behind Palace’s back three.”
“Barry didn’t really stand a chance,” the former Manchester City goalkeeper added. “And fair play to David Moyes, he took him out of the team, but he’s realised at half-time, I need Beto in my team.
“I need him pushing, making as many problems as he possibly can.”
Sean Dyche and Frank Lampard linked with Rangers job
North of the border, and Rangers did not have such a great weekend.
The Gers’ poor form continued as they drew with Falkirk, with Russell Martin being sacked after the game.
As a result, the Scottish giants are in need of a new manager to save their campaign.
Now, Kris Boyd has suggested former Everton duo Sean Dyche and Frank Lampard could be in the running for the Rangers post.
- Dyche has remained out of a job since leaving Everton
- Lampard is currently finding success at Coventry
- Both are linked with the current Rangers vacancy
He said: “Frank Lampard’s name was another one that was mentioned. I know he’s doing some wonderful things at Coventry City, but is that out of the equation now?
“The obvious one for me would be Sean Dyche. Kevin Thelwell worked with him in the past, and he seems to have a lot of say in the players that are coming in.”
