Supercomputer predicts outcome of Everton vs Manchester United Women clash

Everton Women are back in action on Sunday as they take on Manchester United at Goodison Park.

With many of Everton’s men’s players currently away on international duty, now could be the perfect time for many supporters to make their way to the old ground.

Everton Women moved into Goodison Park permanently at the start of the season and have enjoyed an indifferent campaign to date.

Going into the Man United game, they sit ninth and are without a victory in their last four WSL1 matches.

Manchester United Women overwhelming favourites against Everton

Since Everton’s impressive Merseyside derby victory on the opening day, they have had little to shout about.

Four consecutive defeats followed in all competitions before they drew 1-1 with Leicester City last weekend.

Now, with Man United coming into the match of one of two sides left unbeaten in the WSL1, their task does not get any easier.

According to Opta on 9 October, the Red Devils are the heavy favourites going into the match, with a 63.1 per cent chance of coming away with three points.

In comparison, Everton Women’s odds of returning to winning ways are at 17.3 per cent, while the chance of a draw sits at 19.6 per cent.

Brian Sorensen could soon be under pressure at Everton Women

If results do not pick up soon, Brian Sorensen could soon find himself under heavy pressure.

Everton brought in numerous players in the summer, and this has yet to yield a positive outcome.

As it stands, the Toffees are only four points above the relegation play-off zone, and this gap could quickly be closed in if results don’t improve.

Therefore, Everton need to get a result against Manchester United to ensure the rot is stopped as quickly as possible.
