Jack Grealish sends message to Dele Alli as footage suggests return is closer than ever

Jack Grealish has quickly become a fan favourite at Everton.

Grealish was the Premier League’s Player of the Month in August, having registered four assists in his opening two matches for the Toffees.

Having signed on loan from Manchester City, Grealish scored a 93rd-minute winner against Crystal Palace to send Everton up to eighth place in the Premier League.

Despite his impressive form, Grealish was snubbed by England and Thomas Tuchel, meaning he must do more to get himself back into the national team.

During the international break, the 30-year-old winger sent a message to former Everton star and England teammate Dele Alli.

Dele Alli nears return to fitness in Instagram post

Alli was at Everton between 2022 and 2024, yet only managed to make 13 appearances for the Toffees as his time in Merseyside was hampered by injuries.

Despite not playing alongside each other in a match, both Grealish and Alli have been in the England squad at the same time.

The midfielder, who is without a club, posted a fitness update on Instagram that shows he may be returning to action soon.

Grealish left a comment under the post which had a series of clapping emojis and blue hearts, possibly to show his Everton love.

Alli was sent off in his only match for Como after a foul on AC Milan’s Ruben Loftus-Cheek, and he has since been made a free agent.

Grealish has had injury problems of his own at Man City, and he’ll be desperate to ensure that he can enjoy a consistenet run of games at Everton.

Jack Grealish looks to continue his injury-free spell

After securing his £100million move from Aston Villa to Man City in 2021, Grealish could have hardly imagined what would follow.

Despite playing a good role in the Man City team that won the treble, Grealish would fall out of favour with manager Pep Guardiola.

He also battled with injury issues over the last two years, which dealt a significant blow to the amount of first-team football he played.

His form noticeably dipped in 2023-24 as he suffered three separate injuries that kept him out for over two months.

At Everton, Grealish is finally regaining his confidence that saw him touted as one of England’s most promising talents when he was at Aston Villa.

If he continues his form for the Toffees, then Tuchel will have no choice but to select him for his 2026 World Cup squad.
