Everton plan for Adam Aznou detailed in new David Moyes reveal
Adam Aznou is yet to make an appearance for Everton after signing this summer.
Everton signed Aznou from Bayern Munich in an £8million deal, with the expectation that he would play back-up to Vitalii Mykolenko.
However, when the Ukrainian star has been out injured or needed a rest, David Moyes has chosen to call on James Garner and Seamus Coleman to play at left-back.
Moyes has called on Aznou to become more physical if he is to make the Everton squad, and be relied upon in the future.

Everton struggles to continue for Adam Aznou
Aznou’s struggle for minutes at Everton has baffled some observers, as the Blues have been struggling for cover in the position.
BBC journalist Guilia Bould has revealed Moyes’ plan for Aznou, claiming that he will be used in the youth team while he is still adapting to the senior game.
Speaking on 10 October, she said: “Moyes has moved James Garner and Seamus Coleman to left-back when Vitalii Mykolenko has been injured, both playing out of position.
“I see him being used in the under-21s more before Moyes thinks he is ready.”

Aznou played a huge amount of his senior minutes with Valladolid in Spain, with the Sofascore graphic showing his performances.
Aznou looks like he will struggle to make it at Everton
It seems as though Aznou might be added to the list of the Blues’ terrible business from recent years.
While the money that was spent on him is not too much from the Friedkin Group’s coffers, a player that has came from the Bavarian giants is expected to be ready to play immediately.
- Aznou made just four appearances for Bayern
- Played 13 times on loan at Rayo Valladolid in the 2024/25 campaign
- He has featured once for Everton’s Under-21 side
It is far too soon to write him off, but if he cannot even make it into the team when there are major injury issues, will he ever be able to?
It is a question that will be answered in the coming months, as the 19-year-old looks to make an impression on his Scottish manager.
If he impresses for the Under-21s and shows Moyes that he can be a physical player, as well as a technical one, he may have a chance of making into the first-team and offering an alternative to Mykolenko.
If not, he may not ever make it with the Toffees, despite his young age.
