Jordan Pickford to sign new long-term Everton contract as timeline emerges

Everton are set to make a massive announcement with Jordan Pickford signing a new contract soon.

Pickford has been influential for England during the international break, keeping a record-breaking clean sheet in eight consecutive 90-minute appearances for the Three Lions.

After James Tarkowski’s deal was extended at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, the Toffees are now looking to tie down other key players in L4.

With the expectation of the goalkeeper’s renewal at the Merseyside outfit, fans may not have to wait long for official confirmation.

Everton to confirm new Jordan Pickford contract this week

Pickford will sign his new long-term contract at the Toffees this week, according to Paul Joyce.

The Times journalist revealed on 12 October that the 31-year-old’s future is set to be secured at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, with his current deal expiring in 2027.

It’s no surprise that the Blues are looking to re-sign the shot-stopper to new terms, given he will have only one year left after the 2025-26 season.

Considering how important Pickford has been for the Merseyside outfit, it’s a no-brainer for them to maintain his continuity in L4.

Jordan Pickford replacement dilemma at Hill Dickinson Stadium

Pickford’s replacement will arguably cost multi-millions at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, considering his contributions in recent seasons.

The Englishman has undoubtedly single-handedly saved the Toffees from relegation with his performances over the years.

Top teams like Manchester United and Chelsea could certainly do with someone like the Blues’ shot-stopper in between the sticks, but it looks like his future is set in L4.

Pickford’s Premier League record for Everton

Pickford could potentially be on course for the most Premier League appearances for Everton, with the goalkeeper featuring 300 times for the Merseysiders so far.

Seamus Coleman has played the most league matches for the Toffees, with the right-back currently at 371, but the English goalkeeper has every chance to overtake him.

Fans in L4 will hope the shot-stopper continues to thrive for the Blues for years to come.
