Everton take notice as Ansu Fati transfer twist emerges at Barcelona
Everton have set their sights on Ansu Fati, currently on loan at AS Monaco from Barcelona.
The 22-year-old has seen a resurgence at the Ligue 1 outfit, scoring five goals in three league matches since joining them in the summer.
Thierno Barry’s struggles at the Hill Dickinson Stadium have led to suggestions of the need for reinforcements up front.
Lazio’s Valentin Castellanos could be signed for David Moyes in the coming months, but the Blues have other options on their radar.

Monaco purchase option for Ansu Fati may not be enough for Barcelona as Everton keep tabs
Monaco have the option to make Fati’s move permanent for around £9.5million, but that may be too little for Barcelona, according to Sport.
The news outlet reported on 14 October that the Spain international’s form could potentially see his valuation increase at the end of the season, leading to suggestions that the current terms of the transfer may not be enough for the Blaugrana.
It’s been claimed that the Toffees have taken notice of the forward’s performances at the French club, and he could command tremendous value soon.
While the La Liga champions believe Monaco will likely trigger their option to buy Fati, it remains to be seen what the future holds for him.

Beto has been underwhelming at the Hill Dickinson Stadium in recent matches, and the two strikers being unreliable doesn’t help the Merseyside outfit.
While The Friedkin Group (TFG) are not afraid to pull off massive deals at the Blues, as seen with Jack Grealish’s transfer, they should back Moyes more.
Ansu Fati to be attracted to Hill Dickinson Stadium
Moyes will be hoping for a European berth in the Premier League, but it’s going to be a tough challenge in L4.
Everton are eighth in the table right now, winning three and losing two of their first seven league matches, and a trip to Manchester City awaits them after the international break.
Competition | Appearances | Goals | Minutes played |
Ligue 1 | 3 | 5 | 160 |
Champions League | 2 | 1 | 91 |
If the Toffees do end up getting into the Europa League or the Conference League, they could arguably attract quality players next summer.
Fati failed to live up to expectations at Barcelona due to consistent fitness issues and was unable to do much on loan at Brighton in the 2023-24 season, and only time will tell whether he can maintain his current form.
