Everton make contact for bargain transfer as Julian Brandt craves move
Borussia Dortmund attacking-midfielder Julian Brandt has emerged as a transfer target for Everton.
David Moyes is hoping for a European berth in the Premier League, with The Friedkin Group (TFG) already bringing a lot of pedigree to the Toffees by attracting quality players.
Jack Grealish was the recent marquee signing at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, and after an impressive start to his spell at the Blues, it wouldn’t be surprising to see them make the Englishman’s loan permanent from Manchester City.
The Merseyside outfit may be planning to attract more quality talent from top teams around Europe in the coming months, and they already have one name in mind.

Julian Brandt wants Premier League transfer amid Everton interest
Brandt is open to staying at Dortmund, but a move to the Premier League is attractive, according to SportsBoom.
The news outlet reports on 15 October that the Toffees hope to sign the Germany international for free, with his current contract expiring next summer.
It’s been claimed that the Blues have already made enquiries for the 29-year-old’s arrival to the Hill Dickinson Stadium, but it remains to be seen how the situation unfolds before the end of the season.
Brandt reached the Champions League final with BVB in 2024, but they eventually lost to Real Madrid.

Brandt has mostly played in the number 10 position, but he can operate in multiple positions, and that versatility will certainly come in handy for Moyes.
The German midfielder has 48 caps for his national side, but it remains to be seen whether the playmaker will make the squad for the 2026 World Cup.
Jack Grealish bargain replacement identified for David Moyes
While Grealish has been influential at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, there’s no guarantee he will stay beyond this season.
While TFG have shown ambition at Everton, even if they trigger the £50million option to buy the Man City loanee, the final decision will be up to him.
Competition | Matches | Goals | Assists |
Bundesliga | 5 | 1 | 2 |
Champions League | 2 | 1 | 0 |
DFB-Pokal | 1 | 0 | 0 |
Several top Champions League sides may be interested in Grealish next summer if Pep Guardiola still doesn’t fancy him.
Brandt represents a bargain replacement for Grealish as Moyes looks to build a competitive team in L4.
