£50m Iliman Ndiaye transfer claim made by ex-David Moyes ally as Everton sale mooted

Everton could be about to take a drastic measure in a bid to keep hold of Iliman Ndiaye in the January transfer window.

The winger has been one of the Toffees’ standout performers so far this season, and already has four goal contributions to his name from the opening seven Premier League games.

Ndiaye has formed an electric partnership on Everton’s flanks alongside Jack Grealish, and while it is the Englishman who brings the star quality to the team, Ndiaye is quietly going from strength to strength.

David Moyes has started the Senegal international in every league game so far this season, but his performances are sure to have attracted attention from elsewhere.

Everton to set £50m Iliman Ndiaye price tag after trophy-winning claim

Ndiaye admitted that he wants to win trophies at Everton recently, in a claim which will certainly have made supporters sit up and take notice.

The Merseysiders haven’t secured silverware since their FA Cup triumph back in 1995, and their recent turnaround under Moyes appears to have got the whole club dreaming again.

Perhaps more important as of right now, Ndiaye’s claim suggests that he sees himself at Everton for the long term, which can only be a positive sign.

Ex-Everton scout Bryan King – speaking exclusively to Goodison News – believes that Ndiaye’s suggestion in a very positive sign, and adds that his former employers shouldn’t even consider a sale for less than £50million.

“I think it’s very positive, and he (Ndiaye) is a very talented player,” King said.

“He’s certainly got quality, he can run at people, he’s got great technique, and he can score.

“If anybody wants him, then I think they’ve got to start looking at least £35m. I wouldn’t let him go for under £50m that’s for sure, not with the way that he’s been playing.”

Iliman Ndiaye is just as important to Everton as Jack Grealish

It’s been Grealish who has primarily hit the headlines at Everton so far this season, but the importance of his counterpart on the opposite wing certainly cannot be underestimated.

One of the main reasons why the Toffees have carried such a threat in the wide areas of late has been the fact that they have two electric dribblers on either flank.

Opposition teams get no rest at all when Moyes’ men have the ball, as Ndiaye and Grealish are constantly ready to have their full-backs backpedalling towards their own goal.

The pair are already forming a lethal tandem, and it’s fair to suggest that they simply wouldn’t pose as big a threat without each other’s presence.
