Manchester City vs Everton preview: Team news, likely lineups, score prediction

Everton are set to travel to the Etihad on Saturday as they take on Manchester City.

The international break is now at an end, with the Premier League set to restart on the weekend.

Everton started October in sensational fashion, as they beat Crystal Palace 2-1 at the Hill Dickinson Stadium late on.

With Man City up next, David Moyes will be hoping to continue this momentum into the impending clash.

Now, Goodison News has provided everything you need to know ahead of the game.

Team News

Everton are set to be without Jack Grealish, who is ineligible to play against his parent club.

Michael Keane is also a doubt after his knock against Crystal Palace.

It is also unknown if Jarrad Branthwaite or Merlin Rohl will be available after their recent injuries.

However, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall will be available for Everton after completing his one-match ban.

For Man City, Pep Guardiola will be hoping to have Rodri, Abdukodir Khusanov, and Omar Marmoush will be available after their recent knocks.

However, the hosts are still likely to be without Rayan Ait-Nouri, who has been injured since August.

Likely line-ups

Man City: Donnarumma, Nunes, Dias, Gvardiol, O’Reilly, Gonzalez, Bobb, Reijnders, Foden, Doku, Haaland

Everton: Pickford, Patterson, O’Brien, Tarkowski, Mykolenko, Garner, Gueye, Alcaraz, Dewsbury-Hall, Ndiaye, Beto

Prediction: Man City 2-0 Everton

Moyes has a terrible record against Man City, and without Grealish, it is hard to see this ending anytime soon.

The former Premier League champions returned to form before the international break, and even if Rodri is out for the clash, it is likely that the hosts will still have too much for the Toffees.

Therefore, while Everton will likely make a good account of themselves, it will still be a comfortable victory for Man City.

A 2-0 defeat for Moyes’ side seems the most likely outcome on Saturday.
