Chris Sutton has surely lost his mind after latest Jack Grealish and Everton claim
Jack Grealish is the subject of most narratives surrounding Everton at the moment.
Grealish’s remarkable form for Everton has led to calls for an England recall, but Thomas Tuchel has resisted the temptation so far.
Everton could have a chance to sign Grealish at the end of the season, although Pep Guardiola has also suggested that he might want him back.
Grealish will not be involved in Everton’s clash with Manchester City, which makes what Chris Sutton said absolutely ridiculous.

What did Chris Sutton say about Jack Grealish and Everton?
Grealish has still been transferred in by tens of thousands of Fantasy Premier League players, despite his enforced absence against his parent club.
However, Sutton does not see why Grealish should not be able to play against the Citizens at the Etihad Stadium on 18 October.
Writing in his weekly predictions column for the BBC, he said: “What a joke it is that Jack Grealish cannot play for Everton against his parent club.”
“The City fans would love to welcome Grealish back like they did Kevin de Bruyne with Napoli a few weeks ago, and he would have had a point to prove against Pep Guardiola. City were happy for him to leave on loan, so why shouldn’t he play against them?”

Everton cannot have any complaints about Grealish absence
Sutton is surely having a laugh with his comments, as the Blues cannot have any complaints with Grealish not playing.
For starters, the Toffees knew that he would not be able to play in this game when they signed him on loan.
- Grealish has played nine times for the Blues so far
- He has notched one goal and four assists in those matches
- He will not be in the squad for the clash with City
However, the more important issue that Sutton does not take into account is why the rule is there in the first place.
The rule was implemented in the Premier League in 2004 to protect the integrity of the game, and was introduced after Lomana LuaLua scored a late equaliser for Portsmouth against Newcastle, his parent club.
It prevents a natural conflict of interest that would come, and also protects the parent club from conceding a goal to one of their own employees, which prevents a ‘fear clause’ from being inserted in a loan deal, that would essentially stop the player from being able to play against them anyway.
Everton knew what they signed up for, and have accepted it, Sutton should do the same, and stop moaning about something that is not a problem.
There are plenty of issues within the game, that need resolving, this is not one of them.
