Everton news round-up: James Garner transfer stance emerges as £50m claim is made
Everton are set for another busy few weeks as they look to build upon their good start to their season.
The Toffees return to Premier League action on the weekend when they take on Manchester City.
However, on top of the talk about the game, there has been plenty of transfer talk as David Moyes prepares for the January window.
As a result, Goodison News has rounded up all of the major stories from the past 48 hours below.

James Garner wanted by Manchester United
James Garner has been excellent for Everton so far this season.
The midfielder has formed a formidable partnership with Idrissa Gueye in the middle of the park, with Moyes even calling for the youngster to be called up to the England squad.
As a result, reports have recently emerged that Manchester United want to re-sign the midfielder as he continues to impress.

However, it is believed that Everton intend on keeping Garner, with Moyes in love with his attitude and his willingness to play in whatever position he is asked.
Bryan King: Everton should demand £50m for Iliman Ndiaye
Another player who has impressed this season is Iliman Ndiaye.
The Everton winger continues to find himself among the goals, and scored again in the 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace before the international break.
Therefore, like Garner, interest is starting to mount on the Toffees star as the transfer window edges closer.
- Ndiaye signed for Everton at the start of the 2024-25 campaign
- So far this season, he has netted three times in the Premier League
- His most recent goal came against Crystal Palace
However, Bryan King has insisted that Everton should demand at least £50million to part with the winger.
“I think it’s very positive, and he (Ndiaye) is a very talented player,” King said.
“He’s certainly got quality, he can run at people, he’s got great technique, and he can score.

“If anybody wants him, then I think they’ve got to start looking at least £35m. I wouldn’t let him go for under £50m that’s for sure, not with the way that he’s been playing.”
Jarrad Branthwaite back in training
One star that has been missing for Everton this season is Jarrad Branthwaite.
The centre-back has been out of action since pre-season, with Michael Keane taking his place in the starting XI.
However, after months on the sidelines, Moyes has now confirmed that Branthwaite is close to returning for Everton.
The Scotsman stated that both the defender and Rohl were “back on the grass” as they look to return to the pitch.
