Everton turn to former Liverpool figure to help land mega deal
Everton are looking to step up their ability to secure big commercial deals under the ownership of the Friedkin Group.
It was the new owners who secured the naming rights that saw Everton’s new stadium named the Hill Dickinson Stadium, in a deal worth up to £10million a year.
The Toffees have enjoyed a positive start to life at their new home, despite losing for the first time there last week.
Tottenham beat Everton 3-0 at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, with Micky van de Ven and Pape Matar Sarr ending the Blues unbeaten home start to the season.
Everton are set to take on Sunderland on Monday, as they look to get back to winning ways in the Premier League.

Everton appoint agency as part of sponsor hunt
In 2023, Premier League clubs collectively agreed to withdraw gambling sponsors from the front of clubs’ matchday shirts.
Eleven of the 20 top-flight clubs currently have gambling sponsors on the front of their shirts, including Everton.
| Premier League clubs | Front of shirt sponsor – industry |
| 11 | Gambling |
| 3 | Finance |
| 2 | Airline |
| 1 | Food and beverage |
| 1 | Technology |
| 1 | Tourism |
| 1 | No sponsor |
The Toffees announced an agreement with betting company Stake in 2022, with an agreement struck that would see the Blues earn around £10m per season.
But InsideFootballWorld reported on Friday that Everton have appointed US-based agency Range Sports to find a new sponsor to replace Stake for next season.

The search will likely be led by head of partnership sales Flint Reilly, who previously belonged to the consortium that own Liverpool, Fenway Sports Group.
Reilly helped sell commercial assets for the Reds, the outlet have reported.

Everton’s sponsors throughout the years
When asked to think of an Everton kit, most people would likely picture a blue shirt with the word Chang on the front.
The Thai beer, brewed by ThaiBev, adorned the front of the Toffees’ kits for 13 years between 2004 and 2017, and remains among the Premier League’s most iconic sponsors.
Before Stake, there were Cazoo and SportPesa, although none of the three are particularly memorable.

Fans who watched Everton in the late 80s and the early 90s may point to NEC, who adorned the front of the Toffees’ shirts between 1985 and 1996.
The three letters made for a sleek sponsor, which took its place on many classic Everton shirts.
It can only be assumed that the Friedkin Group will prioritise money when it comes to the next sponsor, although fans will be hoping to see a good-looking logo.
